Labor Day has come and gone. Barbecues, picnics, swimming, and the long weekend filled with outdoor recreation were definitely enjoyed here at Lake Gaston. Local businesses had one last boom, and the lake was alive with the sounds of boats and jet-skis. Many people shared this last"summer"weekend with friends and family. It was a perfect weekend for doing just that, despite a little rain.
While it was the unofficial "end"of summer,Labor Day weekend also kicks off the beautiful Fall season. Fall is a great time for buyers and sellers to take advantage of a resurgeance in Real Estate activity here at the Lake Gaston. It is much calmer here, and the peace and quiet allows you to see the lake in all it's beauty. The coming months are a great time to begin the process of selling or buying property here at Lake Gaston. Take advantage of the opportunity now so you can realize your dreams by next summer.
Living at Lake Gaston for over 20 years, I have seen a lot of changes take place. One that comes to mind is the increase in the number of small businesses. Some of these include, heating and air, plumbing, contractors, and lawn care. I have been fortunate to see many of these businesses grow as the demand has increased. At some point after you purchase a property here at Lake Gaston or in the area, you will need some of these businesses. Remember these small local people that take pride in their work when you need repairs, home improvements, or lawn care.
While sitting on my desk here at Lake Gaston, I began to think about this summer. These last few months have gone by so fast. It seems like summer should be starting and it is nearly over. I can say for myself and my family, it has been a good one. Earlier in the summer, we went on a vacation and cruised to the western Caribbean. We had so much fun just being together. When it was over however, it was good to get back to work. I really do enjoy my job and meeting new people. One of the best thing about being a realtor is talking to people and getting to know about them and what they are looking for in a home on Lake Gaston or the surrounding area. Getting to know them and about where they are from is a learning experience for me and I really enjoy it. I believe the more I learn from my clients, the better I will become at my job, which is finding the perfect home for anyone coming to the area.
